Age Calculator: How Old Am I?

What is the age calculator and how does it work?

A person's age can be counted differently in different cultures. This calculator is based on the most common age system. In this system, age increases on birthday.

 For example

The age of a person who has lived for 3 years and 11 months is 3 years old and the age will become 4 on his next birthday one month later. Most Western countries use this age system.

In some cultures, age is expressed by counting the years with or without including the current year. For example, a person is twenty years old is the same as a person has twenty-one years of his life. In one of the traditional Chinese age systems , people are born at the age of 1 and the age grows on the Traditional Chinese New Year instead of the birthday. For example, if a baby was born just one day before Traditional Chinese New Year, 2 days later the baby will be 2 years old even though she is only 2 Old Days.

In some situations, the months and days of this age calculator can be confusing, especially when the start date is the end of a month. For example, we all count February 20th through March 20th as a month. However, there are such two ways to calculate the age from February 28, 2015 to March 31, 2015. If you consider February 28 to March 28 as one month, the result is one month and three days. If you both think February.March 28 and 31 as the end of the month, so the result is one month. Both calculation results are reasonable. Similar situations exist for dates such as April 30 to May 31, May 30 to June 30, etc. The odd number of days in different months. In our calculation, we use the above method.

How is their age calculated?

In some cultures, age is expressed by counting the years with or without including the current year. For example, a person is twenty years old is the same as a person in the twenty-first year of his life.
